Upcoming Events in Fourth Grade
Native American Art Wonder Day
Date: November 18th
Time: 10:50-12:00
We will be exploring Native American art work, weaving, and other Native American traditions. We will need some volunteers to help with a couple centers.

Natural History Museum
Date: November 21st
We will be leaving at 8:30 and plan to be back around 2:30. Please pack a snack lunch for your child. They also need to be in performance dress, for a reminder of what that is please look at the Renaissance Academy website. Students will be learning about the various historical events in our states history.
We will need 12 parents to come with us on this field trip. You are welcome to drive separately or ride with us on the bus. It is approximately 1 hour away.

Language Arts

November 7-11 Writing Week (Persuasive Essay)
November 14-18 Unit 3 Week 1

Math
November 1-7 Chapter 5

November Homework
Math
Students will have math homework every night except the days we take a math test. When I teach a math lesson on Fridays I try to give them enough time in class to finish their homework.
Spelling and Reading
Students have a month to complete their reading and spelling homework. Both are due on September 30th. They must turn work in with their spelling contract. They will not have a reading contract during the months they do a book report.
Utah Compose
They will have persuasive writing prompt this month. They have to turn it in on the last day of November.
